Application Information for the IB Program

Eighth grade students wishing to apply to the International Baccalaureate Program should have
- Successfully completed at least Algebra I
- Successfully completed at least level 1 of French, Spanish, Latin, or German
- Motivation to do well in an accelerated program
Please be aware that the International Baccalaureate Program is a specialty program housed at Spotsylvania High School. All students accepted into the program will become full-time Spotsylvania High School students. For students whose zoned high school is not Spotsylvania High School, transportation will be provided.
Transportation: Morning transportation from zoned high schools to Spotsylvania High School will be provided. Students will ride the regularly scheduled morning route to their zoned high school. An IB shuttle bus will take students from their zoned high school to Spotsylvania High School. In the afternoon, students will be dismissed from their last block at 2:10pm to take a shuttle bus to their zoned middle school. The shuttle bus will take them to their zoned middle school and students will ride the middle school route to their home.

- Advanced High School Programs Information night on December 3, 2020.
- Information about the application will be posted on November 17th.
- The online application window will open on December 14th.
- The online application window will close on January 22nd.
- Student notification letters mailed on February 23rd.
